FOR TEACHERS, PRINCIPALS AND AFTER-SCHOOL COORDINATORS
BRING TENNIS TO YOUR SCHOOL
You don't need courts, and you don't need a budget. If you have a gym, a blacktop or a field, we can help you put racquets in your students' hands.
This work is grant-funded, which is why there is no cost to your school.

WHAT WE BRING
What a school partnership includes
Exact support varies by school and by what your staff want to take on. This work is backed by the USTA Foundation Community Impact Hub grant awarded to HTA NJTL, at no cost to your school.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Three things we ask of your school
A flat space
A gym, a blacktop, a covered pavilion, a field, or a parking area that isn't in use during the day. Lines and nets are not required - we bring what's portable.
One person who cares
A PE teacher, an after-school coordinator, a counsellor, a parent volunteer. Programs last when somebody inside the building wants them to.
A slot in the week
A PE period, an after-school club, a recess rotation or a family night. We'll shape it to fit what your schedule already allows.
Public, charter, private and home-school co-ops are all welcome. If you're outside Houston, ask anyway - if we can't reach you, we will usually know who can.
PARENTS & STUDENTS
Recommend your school
You don't have to work at a school to start this. If your child's school has a gym or a blacktop and no tennis, tell us its name and we'll reach out to them ourselves - you don't have to make the introduction.
Send the school name and city, and the teacher or coordinator's name if you happen to know it.
GET IN TOUCH
Tell us about your school
Send us your school name, roughly how many students you'd want to reach, what space you have, and when in the week it could sit. We'll come back with what we can do.

EQUIPMENT
Racquets and balls
Age-appropriate racquets, low-compression balls and portable nets, sized so a lesson works indoors or on a hard surface.
CURRICULUM
Lesson plans that work
The USTA's Net Generation curriculum, built for PE teachers rather than tennis coaches, with plans you can run in a 30-minute period.
TRAINING
We train your staff
Your PE teacher does not need to play tennis. We run the training, and we can co-teach the first sessions until it is running on its own.
ONWARD
A place to keep playing
Students who catch the bug can join our free after-school program at whichever of our eight parks is nearest them - at no cost to the family.
